Congratulations to Carole for winning the Q4 Change Makers Fundraising Contest with ‘Penny’s Campaign’ and raising over $1,100.
“Penny's Campaign started last year and it is about collecting change to create change - one penny at a time. Penny is a character from my children's book about a family of Canadian coins - Cents of Humour.
Pennies were collected year-round and in November (financial literacy month) any pennies received were multiplied by 3 and given as a donation to the organization for that year.
I chose Cystic Fibrosis Canada as the organization last year because the disease has impacted my family and friends deeply, and I felt compelled to support the cause.
I'd like to give a special mention to the Kin Club of Timmins for their support and to their members who added to the more than 21,400 pennies collected.”
