REGISTRATION



  • What is the fundraising portal?

    When you sign up online, your Fundraiser Portal holds everything you’ll need for a successful fundraiser! Once you’ve logged in to the site, you can edit and personalize your fundraising page with your event details, collect donations, sell tickets, and access our fundraising toolkit & other helpful resources. 

  • How do I find an old account?

    Click this link to open CrowdChange. Click ‘login’ on the top right hand corner. Input your email address and select ‘reset password’.

  • Do I have to fundraise using the fundraising portal or can I simply fundraise and send Cystic Fibrosis Canada my proceeds?

    ChangeMakers is our way of providing you with an easy-access platform to collect donations and complete with the tools and support you need to manage and promote your fundraiser.  


    If you would prefer to fundraise and send us the proceeds, you are welcome to do so. For more details on submitting offline funds, visit our Donation & Other Monies FAQ’s below. 

  • How do I log in to my Participant Centre?

    You can login by following this link to your Participant Centre and enter your email and password.

  • Is there an age restriction?

    Participants of all ages are encouraged to register and raise funds!  

  • Is there a fundraising minimum?

    It's free to get started, and there are no registration fees, or minimum fundraisings required to support CF Canada. We will provide you with plenty of useful tools to help you raise as much as possible.   

  • What if I don’t reach my fundraising goal?

    When you register online, we will ask you to set a fundraising goal. We encourage you to aim high while being realistic. That said, you’re not held to your initial goal, and you can change your fundraising goal on your page at any time. We have helpful hints, tips and toolkits to help with your fundraising for you to check out. Make sure to consult your ‘Welcome Guide’ from your sign-up email to see how you can get started. 

  • Will you promote my event?

    From time to time, Cystic Fibrosis Canada may share some ChangeMaker stories through social media providing examples and inspiration to our community about the types of fundraising they can do. We encourage you to tag us on our social media platforms so we can repost and engage with you. When you sign up online you’ll have access to a toolkit that has information, tips and tools to help with your own online promotion. 

  • Can a CF staff member attend my event ?

    We are honored that you’ve decided to support us and we are incredibly grateful for your fundraising efforts. Depending on timing and location, we may not be able to send a staff member or speaker to support your event, but we would be happy to speak with you to see what is possible. We are a small team and wish we could be everywhere, but, that is not always possible.

  • What tools does CF Canada provide to help me with my Fundraiser?

    The amazing fundraising tools that you'll receive when you sign up include: 


    • A personal Fundraising Page you can customize to share your story, details about your fundraiser and collect donations.  
    • A personal dashboard that gives you a quick look at your fundraising progress.  
    • Message templates to help you craft emails and social media posts asking for support. 
    • Downloadable resources—including our Welcome Guide, In Support logos, templates, and more—all to help promote and support your fundraiser. 
  • Can I use your logo on my materials?

    We have created for you an “in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada” logo designed to help fundraisers achieve a branded, polished look for their letters, flyers and other event materials. You can find different versions of it here. 


    However, this logo may not be used in connection with any products or services for any commercial purposes unless authorized by CF Canada under a signed license agreement. 

DONATIONS & OTHER MONIES



  • How do I submit cash or cheque donations?

    There may be times when donors would like to give you a donation in the form of cash or cheques. Submitting your offline funds is easy and convenient! All offline donations can be recorded, submitted, and paid for on your online fundraising page. Our website allows you to record the donor’s information for tax receipt purposes and pay for the donation using your personal credit card.

  • Will Cystic Fibrosis Canada refund my expenses?

    No, the organizer of the activity is responsible for all aspects of the fundraising initiative, budgeting and expenses incurred. 

  • Where do I find pledge forms?

  • What is Cystic Fibrosis Canada mailing address?

    Our address for mailing in checks and items is: 1305 - 20 Eglinton Ave W, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M4R1K8. 

  • What’s the minimum donation required for a tax receipt?

    Cystic Fibrosis Canada will issue tax receipts for any donations upward of $20. 

  • How can I see who has donated to my event?

    You can see who has donated to your fundraiser by logging in to your Fundraiser Portal and generating a Donor Report. 

  • How is the money I raise used at Cystic Fibrosis Canada?

    The funds you raise will contribute to the work being done by Cystic Fibrosis Canada to benefit local communities nationwide. Funding is used towards innovative CF research and treatment and ensures the care and support that our entire community needs is available and accessible. With your help, we are going further to lengthen and improve lives.

PRIVACY & SECURITY


  • When I make a donation what information is shared?

    We collect your personal information in order to process your donation, issue a tax receipt, and provide updates about our impact and other ways to help. Your personal information will not be sold or traded with other organizations. 

  • What is Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s Infection, Prevention & Control Policy?

    In an open-air environment, there is less concern for person-to-person transmission of infections but travelling with other people with CF in a car, or meeting them socially increases the level of risk.  


    People with CF may attend Cystic Fibrosis Canada hosted outdoor events but are advised to maintain a distance of at least six feet (about two meters) from other individuals with CF at all times.
