How to Become a Change Maker

Thank you for taking the first step towards hosting a fundraiser in support of the cystic fibrosis (CF) community. Whether in person or virtual, the funds raised from your event will help fund CF research, advance treatment access and promote advocacy for all Canadians with CF.


You can start fundraising with the click of a button. By registering, you will get a custom fundraising page, access to event guides and plenty of fundraising tools and ideas, which makes it easy to become a Change Maker! 


How it works

  • 1. Start with an idea

    Whether you’re looking to host your own event, become part of a group fundraiser with friends or simply wanting to honour a loved one, starting a fundraiser is easy!  


    Think of your hobbies, talents, passions and how you can share them with your community. We have listed a few ideas to get you started:

  • 2. Register and customize your fundraising page

    Once you have an inspiring idea in mind, you can register your fundraiser onto our Change Makers web portal.  


    The registration form will help you define the basic attributes of your fundraiser with some key details such as name, location, date, etc, but remember you can add or change most details at any time! 


    This page also offers many customizable features for you to shape your fundraiser: images and descriptions but also the possibility to sell tickets and merchandise or set up individual and team pages.  

  • 3. Promote your fundraiser

    Once your fundraising page is set up, you can share it with your community via email or on social media, so friends and family can donate—and join in!
